Following the release of Jagun Jagun, a Yoruba epic by Femi Adebayo, on August 10th, and the star-studded event Lights, Camera, Naija! One of the top entertainment services in the world, Netflix, unveiled its exciting and diverse slate of upcoming movies and television shows in Lagos on Sunday, the 13th. These include returning fan favorites that will be available on the service throughout the final three months of the year.
THE ANÍKÚLÁPÓ SERIES
The beloved Yoruba epic Anklápó has a spinoff series called Anikulápó, which will return to theaters as a four-part sequel after the box office success of Anklápó the movie.
Sola Sowobale, Kunle Remi, and Bimbo Ademoye will return to the series, which is directed and produced by Kunle Afolyan, along with newcomers Owobo Ogunde, Gabriel Afolayan, Lateef Adedimeji, Eyiyemi Afolayan, Uzee Usman, Oyinda Sanni, and Taiwo Hassan.
